RCC Manhole System

RCC Manhole System

Precast reinforced concrete manhole systems consist of chambers, cones, risers, and base sections that are stacked on site for sewerage, drainage, and utility access. They ensure consistent quality, fast installation, and long service life.

Components

  • Grade / adjusting rings – for correct finished level
  • Cone sections – eccentric or concentric, reducing diameter from shaft to cover
  • Riser sections – vertical cylindrical shaft rings
  • Base sections – bottom unit with pipe connection openings
  • Flat slab tops for shallow pits; steps/ladders for access where required

System types

  • Cylindrical: Conical top, circular riser rings (~125 mm wall), circular base with pipe connections.
  • Conical: Stacked conical rings (~225 mm height) forming a cone-shaped chamber.
  • Cuboidal: Rectangular chamber for telecom and special applications.

Typical specifications

  • Standard internal diameter often 1,200 mm (other sizes available)
  • Concrete grade M40; AA class loading
  • Wall thickness ~125 mm
  • Riser heights: 150 mm, 300 mm, 600 mm, 900 mm, 1,200 mm

Applications

Sewerage networks, stormwater drainage, water works, telecommunications ducts, catch basins, and junction chambers.
